Transition Visit to Clydebank High

Today the Step Up nurture group visited Clydebank High School as part of the transition programme. We got to meet up with Gerry Diamond (we miss him!) and see around the High School nurture room. Two of the children from CHS, Carly and Jamie, gave us a tour of the school and we got to eat our snacks at break time with some of the other children. We bumped into some old Linnvale friends - Connor, Jack and Abby - and they all told us how great the school was. We have so much to look forward to! Thank you to Gerry, Carly and Jamie; we had a great time and we are all looking forward to August now...

"Today I feel...happy and sad"

Unfortunately, one of our first posts is one that comes with mixed emotions. Gerry Diamond, the Pupil Family Support Worker from Clydebank High, will be leaving us after this week's Step Up session. He has come to Linnvale for many years and helped us enormously with various groups, including Nurture and Seasons for Growth. This year, Gerry has worked closely with the Step Up children, as well as 'Friends for Life' groups. He will be a huge loss and both the children and staff will miss him immensely. However, we wish Gerry the very best in his new role and look forward to catching up with him again on the transition visits to Clydebank High, as well as when the children 'step up' to high school.

Thank you and good luck Gerry!

Hello...

Hello and welcome to the Linnvale Primary School nurture room blog for Primary 7. We call our nurture class the Step Up room.

We will be posting information and photographs about all the amazing things we have been learning.
